Cultivating the living vineyard
Léopold Croizet

Cognac begins in the vineyard. In Triac-Lautrait, most of the eaux-de-vie blended into Cognac Léopold Croizet bottles come from Domaine de la Grande Versenne SCEA, an estate engaged in recognised environmental approaches.

A living terroir, a quality commitment

Protecting soils, water, biodiversity and the balance of the landscape is not only an image statement. It helps preserve the quality of the eaux-de-vie and pass on a vineyard built to last.

HVE: a recognised French certification

Haute Valeur Environnementale is the third and highest level of French environmental certification for farms. It assesses the whole farm through biodiversity, plant-protection strategy, fertilisation and water management.

The public HVE directory on data.gouv.fr lists SCEA Domaine de la Grande Versenne in Triac-Lautrait, in viticulture, with certification dated 23 December 2024.

CEC: the Cognac sector environmental commitment

Certification Environnementale Cognac is a framework specific to the Charente vineyard. It supports more demanding practices for biodiversity, water, soils, vineyard protection and carbon efficiency.
