Tasting notes
Very old Cognac characteristic of « Fins Bois ». A complex fruity and flowery nose, with aromas of coconut and passion fruit. Its « rancio » gives way to more assertive woody notes of cedar and sandalwood. The fresh eucalyptus finish produces remarkable length in the mouth.
What does Excellence indicate?
Excellence is one of the regulated Cognac ageing mentions. Here, the page presents a very old Fins Bois, built for complexity and length.
What do very old Fins Bois bring?
They keep fruit and flowers, then gain cedar, sandalwood and rancio. Coconut, passion fruit and eucalyptus give this cognac its own signature.
How should it be approached?
Pour a small measure into a tulip glass and let the nose open. This is a slow tasting cognac, more contemplative than demonstrative.
