Tasting notes
This Pineau Rouge des Charentes Léopold Croizet is made from a blend of Cognac eaux-de-vie and grape must from Merlot and Ugni Blanc. After blending, it is stirred in oak barrels during the first months, then aged patiently. Its ruby colour with amber highlights opens on black cherry, candied red fruit and prune. On the palate, Merlot brings supple roundness, a velvety texture and notes of blackberry, vanilla and gentle spice. The finish is generous, with hints of walnut, cocoa and undergrowth.
